Free to Live Animal Shelter Needs Our Help!

I met Ann Kimbrell who is on the board of directors at Free to Live animal shelter in Edmond, Oklahoma. if you don’t know anything about Free to Live , they are a no kill shelter and they have many different volunteer opportunities. Their donations have gone way down since last year and let’s just face the facts, they are HURTING!

They are currently having their biggest fundraising event of the year. An anonymous donor will match funds donated during the month of July. Donations are tax deductible and will allow then to continue to help as many abused and abandoned dogs and cats as they can. Donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 5884, Edmond, OK 73083-8617 or online at http://www.freetoliveok.org/ and click the “donate” button.

We are also raising money to help pay some of the veterinary expenses for Sampson, a dog we rescued who has been dragged by a car or possibly has had acid poured on him. He has a long road ahead with his injuries and he has tested positive for heartworms. With the loving care of the people at Free To Live he is responding well. I am attaching a picture of Simpson.

Please Help Sampson

I am not posting a picture of Sampson to tug on your heart strings, I am posting it because it’s reality. You all know I am HUGE animal and when I heard about this , well…… I just had to reach out to all of you to see if there was anyone out there willing to help.

I am asking you all to please keep the posts positive as this is about helping Sampson and the other dogs at the shelter. I know many of us animal lovers can have very strong opinions :)   The Royal Dogs are asking you, if you can to step up and help even if it is just with the free dog treats and pet samples you get.
