I can’t believe we are already talking about back to school! What has happened to our summer? This past week my kids were lucky to have Grandma come a visit, which is a treat for us since she lives across the country. Grandma also brought along a surprise. My kids have 16 cousins…and only one of them is a girl. She happens to be about the same age as my daughters. Grandma surprised them by bringing their cousin with her for the week. We had fun playing fairy school, painting nails, fashion shows, and everything else girly! It was time for a celebration! I wanted them to remember this special week together so I decided that before it was over we were going to Party Like a Princess!

I made my way to Walmart to pick up some party supplies. I didn’t have that much time to prepare, but I still wanted the celebration to look fabulous. I was so pleased to find a HUGE selection Disney Princess supplies from Hallmark. I hadn’t seen these before and I have to admit they were darling! I picked my favorites. It made decorating a piece of cake! #DreamParty Party Decorations

Then I headed to the bakery section to see what type of cakes they had. I was so shocked at how affordable and cute the cakes were! I was expecting to pay about $25 for one, but it was less than half of that! You can check out my whole shopping trip here! You should have seen the girls faces when I showed them the Princess cake. PRICELESS!!

I also wanted each of the girls to get a fun party favor. I found a set of these cute princess dolls and I got the idea to put them inside a balloon with glitter. The girls absolutely loved these party favors.

They were amazed with how the toys got in the balloons. First I put some glitter in the balloon. Then I gently stretched the balloon over the princess dolls. Then I blew them up! The real fun is popping it to see what’s inside!

My Princesses had such a wonderful party! My girls are still talking about it! And even though it was kind of last minute, Walmart had everything we needed to Party Like a Princess!!

I was lucky enough to be the visiting grandma! I’m blessed to have a wonderful and creative daughter-in-law who treated us like “royalty” while we were there! The princess party was such fun…the girls loved it and it was so simple to put together. Cousin Gabi couldn’t quit talking about it all the way home!
