Miranda Lambert Teamed up with the Pedigree Feeding Project

I am not sure if many of you realize but I took a short secret trip in December to Nashville. When I was in Nashville, I met with a select group of bloggers that were selected to be Pedigree Feeding Project Ambassadors. We even got a chance to meet with Miranda Lambert who is teamed up with the Pedigree Feeding Project as well…..

For those of you who are not familiar with the Pedigree Feeding Project it is a charity that raises money to donate dog food to animal shelters.

To nominate a community that would greatly benefit from the PEDIGREE Feeding Project, dog devotees can:

  • Visit Facebook.com/PEDIGREE and click on the “Choose the Next Community” tab.
  • Listen to Miranda Lambert as she explains why The PEDIGREE® Feeding Project is so important to her in the video seen above.
  • Nominate a community. Submit stories of special dogs in your life, share photos and videos to let PEDIGREE® Brand know what sets your community apart.
  • Share Miranda’s video with friends and encourage them to nominate their community.

Since starting with Nashville and Chicago in 2012, PEDIGREE® has already helped more than 4,000 shelter dogs receive professional nutrition through The PEDIGREE® Feeding Project.

“When shelters don’t need to worry about how they are going to be able to feed their dogs or pay for the food, resources become available to expand and promote adoption programs,” said Jeff Hingher, senior brand manager, PEDIGREE® Brand. “Through The PEDIGREE® Feeding Project, we are able to do what we do best – provide shelter dogs with access to premium nutrition, and help these great dogs find loving homes.

Nominations will be accepted through February 28, 2013. In March, Miranda Lambert and the PEDIGREE Brand will announce the names of five communities which have been chosen as finalists in the search. America’s votes will decide the next communities to participate in The PEDIGREE Feeding Project, with the winning communities announced in mid-2013.

In future posts I will be telling you more about the Pedigree Feeding Project and sharing some of the excellent pictures I took on the trip! Keep an eye out and trust me it was soo hard to keep this from everyone for so long!
