Hello all!
My name is Amber I'm 22 years old and fixing to get married. So... All the coupons, savings, and freebies have helped out soooo much! I am unemployed because I stay at home during the days with my mother, she has lupus so I don't really like to leave her alone, she gets lonely easily. So it's just my fiance working and it's hard to keep up with all of our bills and still afford to live with our economy the way it is. I'm still not very good at the whole couponing thing, I think the most I have saved at one time was like $15.00.. But I'll get as good as the Consumer_Queen one day!

I joined Consumer_Queen in hopes of learning more about being frugal and saving more money, time, and sanity. My friends all think i am crazy and they call me the "coupon queen' and they say I am too young to be cutting coupons(like there is an age limit)? But when I'm the one saving money, I'm pretty sure they will come over to "the dark side"(as they like to call it) with me! So please please give me all the advice you can! I would love to get into stockpiling and all the great savings! If I ever get that good I would love a list of local charities!

Ok Ok I'm sorry to drag out like this. So, I will stop now! If you have any questions or advice please feel free to let me know!

Thank You Consumer Queen!
~*Amber*~

Well Amber the first step to admitting you are an addict is to join a local coupon board..so congrats!!
Best advice i can give you is...clip all coupons, save every coupon, even if you don't use it, get a cvs card and keep checking the board and the forum. You'll be amazed how fast you will get stuff together.
welcome to the board, hope you will enjoy it.

Key #1 do NOT leave home without your coupons. I did that a few times and wanted to kick myself. Hubby has finally got used to it. He has started to ask me how much Walgreen's is going to pay me to get certain things. When I say nothing this week he says oh never mind we don't need it this week then...LOL!

Even if you do not cut out every coupon save them. One of us posts a coupon preview so you can print that or refer to it and leave your inserts intact. It is sad when you see Homeland has Dawn on sale for $1 and you know you have $0.50 coupons but you may have thrown them out or put them someone where you would not lose them but alas you lost them.

Keep coupons together and get a system you can work with going so you can save more. A bunch of us use Binders.

I am now a firm believer of a price book. You write down the prices of items to make sure you are buying items at their best price/
