Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for cleaning mini-blinds?

i usally just take them down take them out side and let our son spray them down with water hose.

from the post on several ways to use dryer sheets it says wipe down the blinds with one and it'll keep away the dust....check that post out I forget what the specifics were
