Ok there has been alot of things going on lately that have concerned me. Not necessarily on our board but people shopping at stores. I have had the pleasure of talking to some store managers and I'm hoping this help some of them out.

1. Please no posting of using expired coupons.
2.No posting of using coupons for products not intended.

3. Do not purchase items with coupons and return them for money. THIS IS FRAUD!!!!!!!!!!! Stores are secretly cracking down on this and you could get in some serious trouble that's all I can say!!!! ( yes people are doing this like the blood monitors etc.)

4. DO NOT call and make false complaints in hopes of getting gift cards. This will only hurt you and me. First of all they will quit giving giftcards on legit complaints(there is already talk on this) also you may get a great cashier in trouble that is coupon friendly and turn them into hating couponers.

5. No talk on coupon coding. If you dont know what that means> Good you wont have a problem LOL!!!!!

Always make sure you call and give compliments to good cashiers trust me it helps!!!!!!!!!!

Is coupon coding the practice of going on those websites and using a code generator to put on those little opinion polls so that you can get free food without completing the survey?

Because I work at a restaurant, and my owner DOES use those polls to figure out what we could be doing better, etc. So please don't do that, folks!

Something else that I've run into while talking with restaurants about my restaurant coupon website is people not tipping on the full amount of the bill.

That said, if you want restaurants to continue giving excellent coupons, especially your local restaurants that are not franchised, be sure to tip on the gross amount before applying your coupon. Your servers will be happier and the restaurant managers/owners won't hear complaints about it.

I have a question about printing multiple copies of coupons. For example, the organic valley coupons say void if copied, transferred, prohibited or regulated. Do any of these no no's mean printing over and over? Also, I noticed on the bottom of the coupon is has id:my email and then some code and date.

I want to make certain that I'm not committing fraud. Thank you!

Thanks for that Consumer Queen! I was part of a forum for a long time until they added a "Coupon Generator" where if you entered the link of a coupon they would just make multiple copies of it in a PDF for you and then you could print it out - I definitely don't agree with those practices!

You can print out as many as it lets you, most smart manufacturers place limits on how many you can print, some don't.

I have a question. If I have 3 manufacture coupons for Skippy PB and Target has the item on sale and I have 3 Target coupons for the item, can I purchase all three containers in the same shopping order?

Yes you can... Get 3 jars of Skippy PB and use 3 manufactors AND 3 Target coupons!! Just make sure the coupons are for the Skippy PB that is on sale and you will be fine, UNLESS the Target coupons say "1 coupon per TRANSACTION!!" then you can only buy 1 jar per transaction which you will have to do 3 transactions, if the target coupon says "1 coupon per purchase" then you are fine....

I went to the grocery store for the first time with my coupons. I saved $86.00!! It was only 36% savings because my cupboards were bare and I needed some things that I didn't have coupons for. I can see that with this system my cupboards wll never be bare again. Thanks to everyone for sharing this information.

A few things came up, tho, that I wasn't sure of.

If a sale item is 5/$5, do you have to buy 5 to get the sale price?

If a coupon says, "Not valid in connection with any othe offer" can that be used if the store has the item on sale?

Does anyone staple duplicate coupons together? I thought it might work good when you find the coupon you want you would get the whole bunch and could tear off what you wanted to use. You would also have them all connected when you wanted to throw out expired coupons.

If an item is on sale $5/5 you MAY not have to purchase 5 to get the same price. Homeland here will give them to you for $1 each. Read the fine print on the tags or ask at customer service. I know I sometimes see signs that say 2/$5 or $3.50 each or something like that. There is no hard and fast rule to that. It depends on where you shop.

Not valid in connection with any other offer SHOULD work if the items are on sale.

I personally do not staple coupons together (I am scared of ripping them) but others do. I just would not hand them to the cashier stapled due to the fact they can stick together then adn you could miss out on the savings.
