Hi Everyone,
As you probably have already heard, our site was one of the thousands of blogs that were hacked over the past week. Earlier this week, I went through all of our files, cleaned them up, then it appears that we were hacked again last night. So today, I spent a lot of time installing fresh versions of all of our software, getting the site back up, and most importantly, taking some action to make the site more secure.
So, how does this affect you? Well, other than the aggravation you might have felt over the past week with having periods of time where you weren't able to access the site, you and your info should still be safe. The hack that hit our site didn't seem to get a hold of our databases. That is a VERY good thing! However, just to be on the safe side, I would encourage everyone to delete their cookies and run a virus scan. If you need help deleting your cookies, feel free to PM me and I will try to walk you through it. If you do not have any anti-virus software on your computer you can get a free scan here:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/I did several things today with our site that should help prevent attacks like this in the future. There could be files that I have locked up too tight, or I could have missed copying over something when I was reinstalling things. If you notice something that doesn't work correctly or looks "messed up", please send me a PM with as many details as possible about the problem you found.
Thanks for your patience and hopefully we won't have to go through this again!
