Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes

Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes Recipe
Cuisine: Consumer Queen
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1½ cups of milk
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 1tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp of butter
  • 4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
  • 1½ cup grated sharp cheddar cheese (seperate ½ cup to sprinkle on top)
  1. In a small pan, melt butter and blend flour and let sit for a minute.
  2. Wisk in your milk
  3. Add salt & pepper
  4. Cook on low until smooth but boiling, using your wisk to stir occasionally.
  5. Reduce heat and wisk in cheese.
  6. In a lightly greased casserole dish add a layer of sliced potatoes. (about ½ of your potatoes)
  7. Pour ½ of your cheese sauce over potatoes.
  8. Repeat steps 6 & 7.
  9. Sprinkle remaining ½ cup cheese over top.
  10. Bake at 350 uncovered for 1 hour
