CVS Shopping Scenario 11/25 – 12/1

Understanding Extra Care Bucks (ECB) * Shopping CVS
Current CVS Deals

If you’re new to CVS and don’t have any ECB from a previous shopping trip to use on the first transaction then the amount you pay will be your “seed money”. “Seed money” is the money you pay out of pocket to get your first Extra Care Bucks (ECB) to use on future purchases.

With this scenario we will be getting $25.93  in product for $10.18 (+ any applicable sales tax) with $5.00 in ECB to use next week. That’s a savings of about 60%. – If you have any ECB from last week’s Black-Friday shopping you can apply these to transaction #1 and pay less out of pocket!

We Beauty Club members will have $4.99 in purchases towards our FREE $5.00 ECB

Remember, you don’t have to do all the transactions in one day or even at the same store.

The shopping scenario should be better next week as the post Black-Friday week will be over 🙂

Transaction #1:

Buy Blistex $2.00
Buy Carmex Healing Cream $4.99
Buy 3 Hallmark OR American Greetings cards (depends on which one is on sale in your ad) $1.99 ea.
Subtotal: $12.96
Use .25/1 any Blistex SS 11-11
Use $1.00/1 any Carmex Skin Care SS 10-21 (exp. 12-31)
Use $2.00/3 American Greetings Cards  OR $2.00/3 Hallmark Cards-facebook
Final price: pay $9.71 + get $1.00 ECB (Blistex) + $3.00 ECB (Carmex) + $3.00 ECB (greetings cards)

Buy Gillette Fusion ProGlide Razor $10.99
Buy 2 Dawn Hand Renewal Dish Soap .99 ea.
Subtotal: $12.97
Use $4.00/1 Gillette Fusion ProGlide RP 10-7 (exp. 11-30)
Use (2) .75/1 Dawn Hand Renewal Dish Soap P&G 10-28 (exp. 11-30)
Use $7.00 from transaction #1
Final price: pay .47 (+ any applicable sales tax) + $5.00 ECB (Gillette ProGlide)

In this scenario it’s like getting $25.93 in product for $5.18 after ECB (or less if you have ECB from Black-Friday to spend).

In the Middle TN area the Hallmark cards are BOGO 50% off. Is there an unadvertised sale for the bucks?

@Tina, no it’s an ECB deal in the ad. Some areas got American’s greetings and some Hallmark. But your area could be different.
