Understanding Extra Care Bucks (ECB) * Shopping CVS

If you’re new to CVS and don’t have any ECB from a previous shopping trip to use on the first transaction then the amount you pay will be your “seed money”. “Seed money” is the money you pay out of pocket to get your first Extra Care Bucks (ECB) to use on future purchases.
With this scenario we will be getting $31.85 in product for $5.85 + any applicable sales tax with $5.00 in ECB to use next week.
Last week we ended up with $6.00 in ECB which I will incorporate into this week’s scenario.
We Beauty Club members will have $22.58 in purchases towards our FREE $5.00 ECB!
Remember, you don’t have to do all the transactions in one day or even at the same store.

Subtotal: $10.58
Use (2) $1/1 Revlon Eye Cosmetics SS 1-13 (exp. 2-27)
Use $6.00 ECB from last week
Final price: pay $2.58 + get $7.00 ECB
NOTE: If you received the $3.00 off $10 Revlon purchase from the CVS scanner you’ll pay only the tax for transaction #1!
Transaction #2:
Buy 4 Irish Spring Body Wash $3.00 ea.
Subtotal: $12.00
Use (4) $1.00/1 Irish Spring Body Wash SS 1-20 (exp. 2-9)
Use $7.00 ECB from transaction #1
Final price: pay $1.00 + get $6.00 ECB

Buy 4 Speed Stick or Lady Speed Stick Deodorant $2.99 (excl. twin pk)
Subtotal: $11.96
Use (4) $1.00/1 Speed Stick in MOST 1/20 coupon inserts

Use $6.00 ECB from transaction #2
Final price: $2.27 + get $4 ECB (Crest) + $1.00 ECB (milk) to use next week
This week’s scenario is like getting $31.85 in product for .85 after ECB!!
