CVS Shopping Scenario 2/24

Understanding Extra Care Bucks (ECB)
 * Shopping CVS
Current CVS Deals

If you’re new to CVS and don’t have any ECB from a previous shopping trip to use on the first transaction then the amount you pay will be your “seed money”. “Seed money” is the money you pay out of pocket to get your first Extra Care Bucks (ECB) to use on future purchases.

With this scenario we will be getting $35.20 in product for $4.55+ any applicable sales tax with $7.00 in ECB to use next week. That’s a savings of about 87%!

Last week we ended up with $5.67 in ECB which I will incorporate into this week’s scenario.

We Beauty Club members will have $17.74  in purchases towards our FREE $5.00 ECB!

Remember, you don’t have to do all the transactions in one day or even at the same store.

Transaction #1:

Buy Thermacare Lower Back & Hip Heat Wraps $3.49
Buy
Poise Wellness Product $3.99
Buy Colgate Sensitive Toothpaste $4.99
Subtotal: $12.47
Use .50/1 any Colgate Toothpaste SS 2-10 (exp. 3-2) OR 2-24
Use$1.00 off 1 POISE Absorbent or Feminine Wellness
AND $3.00/1 any Poise Wellness product (excludes trial) SS 2-10 (exp. 3-23)
Use $5.67 ECB from last week
Final price: pay $2.30 + get $3.49 ECB (Thermacare) $1.00 ECB (Poise) $4.00 ECB (Colgate)

Transaction#2:

Buy 2 Neutrogena Hand Cream 2-oz. $5.49 (online price)
Buy 4 Carmex Lip Balm $1.69 (online price)
Subtotal: $17.74
Use $5.00/2 Neutrogena products SS 2-14 (exp. 4-27)
Use (2) $1.00 off two (2) Carmex Lip Balms
Use $8.49 ECB from transaction #2
Final price: pay $2.25 + get $5 ECB (Neutrogena) $3 ECB (Carmex)

Transaction #3:

Buy Colgate Sensitive Toothbrush $4.99
Use $5.00 ECB from transaction #2
Final price: zero (= tax) + get $4.00 ECB!

This scenario is like getting $35.20 in product for FREE after ECB + $2.45 money maker. We pay $4.55 out of pocket and end up with $7.00 in ECB :)
