Understanding Extra Care Bucks (ECB)
 * Shopping CVS
Current CVS Deals

If you’re new to CVS and don’t have any EB from a previous shopping trip to use on the first transaction then the amount you pay will be your “seed money”. “Seed money” is the money you pay out of pocket to get your first Extra Bucks (EB) to use on future purchases.

With this scenario we will be getting $42.16 in product for $10.37+ any applicable sales tax with $2.00 in EB to use next week. That’s a savings of about 75%!

Last week we ended up with $6.00 in EB which I will incorporate into this week’s scenario.

Remember, you don’t have to do all the transactions in one day or even at the same store.

Transaction #1:

Buy 2 Gillette Mach3 HD Razor 1-ct. $9.47 (based on online price)
Buy 1 Gillette Mach 3 Disposables $11.99 (based on online price)
Subtotal: $30.93
Use (3) $5.00/1 Mach3 Razor RP 6-16 (exp. 7-31)
Use $6.00 EB from last week
Final price: pay $9.93 + get $10 EB

If you don’t have the $6 EB from last week you’ll pay $15.93 for transaction #1

Transaction#2:

Buy Just The Basics Single Roll Paper Towels .79
Buy 2 Lays Chips 2/$6.00
Buy  5 Coke 2-liters .88 ea. ($4.44)
Subtotal: $11.23
Use .79/1 Just The Basics coupon from Scanner – everyone gets one
Use $10.00 EB from transaction #1
Final price: pay .44 + get $2.00 EB to use next week.
