I thought I’d share my shopping strips to Target this week and show you how I roll my Target gift cards to get the best deals for very little out of pocket.
It’s really easy to do and I’m sure a lot of you are already doing this but I know there are many that are new to couponing and may not realize they can save big at Target buy using their gift cards on other deals that offer gift cards.
“Rolling” simply means using a gift card you got from one purchase to pay for another purchase that will give you a gift card.
The first trip I made to Target I bought 5 Glade Candle Holders (Apple Cinnamon) for $2.50 ea.
Target is offering a $5.00 gift card wyb any 5 select Glade Holiday items.
I had a $5.00 gift card that I received from a previous purchase at Target so here’s what I did:
Used (2) $1.00/2 Glade items – Target Coupn from Holiday Booklet
Used (3) $1.00/1 any Glade Scented Candle Holder or 2 refills SS 11-4 (exp. 12-1)
Used (2) $1.00 off Glade Scented Oil Candle holder
Used $5.00 Target gift card from PREVIOUS purchase at Target
Final price: paid .50 PLUS received a $5.00 gift card for buying the Glade!
I now have the $5.00 gift card from the Glade purchase so here’s what I did:
Used (2) $3.00/2 any Aveeno (excl. Bars and trial size) SS 10-28 (exp. 12-31)
Used the $5.00 Target gift card I received from my first trip (Glade purchase)
Final price: paid .96 PLUS received another $5 gift card for buying the Aveeno!
My total out of pocket for the two transactions was $1.46 (+ tax) for 5 Glade and 4 Aveeno, plus I still have a $5 gift card to use on my next deal!
