CVS Shopping Scenario 4/7

Understanding Extra Care Bucks (ECB)
 * Shopping CVS
Current CVS Deals

If you’re new to CVS and don’t have any ECB from a previous shopping trip to use on the first transaction then the amount you pay will be your “seed money”. “Seed money” is the money you pay out of pocket to get your first Extra Care Bucks (ECB) to use on future purchases.

With this scenario we will be getting $67.11 in product for $6.11+ any applicable sales tax with $1.67 in ECB to use next week. That’s a savings of about 91%!

Last week we ended up with $5.00 in ECB which I will incorporate into this week’s scenario.

We Beauty Club members will have $54.00 in purchases & that means $5.00 EB will print out for us (usually takes a couple of days).

Remember, you don’t have to do all the transactions in one day or even at the same store.

Transaction#1:

Buy Infusium 23 Shampoo or Conditioner 16 oz. 2/$10.00
Use (2) $2.00/1 Infusium SS 4-7 (exp. 5-7)
Use $5.00 EB from last week
Final price: pay $1.00 + get $5.00 EB

If you’re new to CVS shopping and you don’t have any ECB from last week you’ll pay $6.00 for this first transaction.

Transaction #2:

Buy 4 Soft Soap Body Wash 2/$7.00
Subtotal: $14.00
Use (4) $1.00/1 Soft Soap Body Wash SS 4-7 (exp. 4-27)
Use $5 EB from Transaction #1
Final price: pay $5.00 + get $6 EB to use next week!

Transaction #3:

Buy Brookside Dark Chocolate Trial Size 0.8-oz. .67
Buy
Stride Gum 14-ct. 2/$2.00
Buy 3 Physician’s Formula Quad Shadows $6.99 (online price)
Buy 3 Physician’s Formula Concealer $6.49 (online price)
Subtotal: $43.11
Get $36.00 off for Physician’s Formula sale
Use $1.00/2 Stride Gum SS 4-7 (exp. 5-19)
Use $6.00 EB from transaction #2
Final price: pay .11 + get $1.00 EB (Stride) + .67 EB (Brookside)

This week’s scenario is like getting $67.11 in product for $4.44 after ECB! PLUS if you’re a Beauty Club member you’ll get $5 ECB for this week’s scenario purchases that will print out (takes a couple of days to activate) and then should print out on your next purchase receipt :) That’s like getting everything FREE!!

If you didn’t have any ECB from last week your total for this scenario is $67.11 in product for $9.44 after ECB or $4.44 after Beauty Club Member $5 ECB :)

How are you getting 36$ off Physicians formula? It’s on sale 6$ off the original price of roughly 12$, but how are you not paying more on your final price than 6.11 (ECB taking care of the 6$)?

Andrea, the Physician’s Formula products listed in my scenario are just over $6.00 in price and you get $6.00 off EACH one you buy leaving you with under a buck to pay for each one. If you are buying six products you will get $36.00 off ($6.00 off for each one). The $6.00 you earned from transaction 2 is then used to pay the $6.00 leaving you with only .11 plus any applicable sales tax. Hope this helps :)
