It’s that time of year again and we are starting up our CQ Santa charity event. We have selected 2 local families in need this year that cannot afford Christmas and we need your help. I know as coupons we are smart, savvy shoppers and we can usually get something free or cheap. So I am asking that even if you can’t provide an actual gift, I would love for all of you to help out with food and HBA items. You can drop off items at any one of our coupon classes and I am also working on securing other locations for drop offs.
About the Families:

They Twins age 3, 1 boy and 1 girl as well as a 1 year old boy. The female twin was diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Defect at 2 Months old in 2012 and had 2 open heart surgeries at 4 months on March 2013 to repair the Defects and a week later had a pacemaker implanted. She’s doing very well now but will require surgery every 5 years for pacemaker maintenance. Mom is a stay at home Mom and her husband, a piano tuner is the sole provider.
Family #2 –
Mom grew up in a rough home situation and her parents divorced when she was in Highschool. She rode the church bus during her childhood and teen years and decided that she wanted to serve the Lord with her life. At 23, she fell in love and got married and she couldn’t have been happier. They had seven children close in age, including a set of twins. She was a busy stay-at-home mom while dad worked two jobs to make ends meet. Although it wasn’t always easy, they loved each other and their children, and they made it work until something unexpected happened. The dad committed crimes that no one who knew him would ever have suspected, and he was put in jail last year. This left the mom with a huge emotional and financial burden. She’s been working retail full time and caring for her children alone, and this will be the family’s second Christmas without dad. In addition to this, they have had more than their share of sickness, medical problems, family crises, and other trials this year. There are 6 children total:
Kid #1 FEMALE age 6
Kid #2 FEMALE age 4
Kid #3 FEMALE age 1
Kid #4 MALE age 5
Kid #5 MALE age 3
Kid #6 MALE age 3
