Homemade Frozen Yogurt!

Yesterday I showed you how to strain and thicken your yogurt. After I let mine strain for a few hours I used it to make some frozen yogurt. I have an ice cream maker but I have only used it a few times. This was the first time I’ve ever made frozen yogurt. If I have the choice between ice cream or frozen yogurt I would definitely choose ice cream. But then I made homemade strawberry frozen yogurt…and oh my! My life has changed. I don’t think I’ll ever make ice cream again using fatty whipping cream. Just give me yogurt and fresh fruit and I think I’ll make it through the summer!

All you need is

3 cups of strained-or Greek yogurt

¾ cup of sugar, I only used about ½ cup

1 teaspoon of vanilla (optional)

Add-ins!!

Go ahead a get crazy! Pretend you’re at one of those trendy frozen yogurt shops and add whatever you like! We went to a strawberry patch this weekend so I added about ½ cup of mashed strawberries to mine.

Mix all ingredients together and put them in your ice cream maker. I let mine mix for about an hour. Until I got too impatient and couldn't wait any longer!

If you have any tips or recipes please share! I’d love to give them a try!
