Force of Nature Event!🐸🦎🐢
The Second Saturday event will take place April 9th. Drop in any time between 1 and 4 p.m. — tickets are not required and everything is free! Force of Nature will be held at Oklahoma Contemporary, 11 NW 11th Street, Oklahoma City, OK in the main building and studios. For more info call 405-951-0000.
Here's what you'll experience during the event:
- Learn about Oklahoma wildlife conservation from professionals by joining one of the panel discussions with WildCare Foundation representatives.
- Interact with live ambassador animals from Scales and Scutes Education and Rescue Association. While looking and listening, visitors will have the chance to sculpt the animals they see in air-dry clay!
- Engage with Teen Arts Council members as they create silly, wearable, animal-inspired art for our youngest visitors.
- Listen to captivating performances by storyteller and cellist Erin Yeaman. Yeaman will combine her talents as a storyteller and musician to share a few fun animal tales.
- Create and make big! Inspired by the exhibition's use of big and bold colors, the studio spaces will have multiple projects for all ages to enjoy.
- Join an interactive family tour of John Newsom: Nature’s Course to learn more about the artist and artworks on view.
