Instacart at Homeland – What Facts You need to Know!

Homeland has partnered with Instacart to bring home delivery service to select areas of Oklahoma. Right now it's only available in Oklahoma City and surrounding areas like Norman, Moore and others.

There are a few things you need to know:

• Instacart is delivery only – you can't pick your order up at the store.  Order minimum is $10.00.

• You DO NOT have to get a membership to place an order and you will not automatically be charged for one.  You only sign up for membership if you want free delivery for a year. It's called Instacart Express and you can choose to pay a flat fee of $149.00 or monthly installments of $14.99. You can try it risk free for 30 days and then cancel if you decide it's not for you.

• Instacart offers COUPONS that you can use on your orders! Simply browse through the coupons here and click on the ones you want to add to your cart.

• There is a 10% surcharge for using their service and it will automatically be applied to your bill.

• Homeland weekly sales will be reflected in the price of the items offered. You have the option to add your Homeland card to your Instacard account. I would recommend it to make sure you get offered the sale prices and to apply your Fuel Rewards.  After you sign up, click the “my account” tab at the top of the page, when you get to your accounts page click on “loyalty cards” from the left side menu.

• Instacart will keep track of the items you bought at Homeland for easy reorder.

• If for some reason, Homeland is out of something you've ordered a substitution will be made BUT they will email/text you before it's done to get your approval. You also have the option to ask for no substitutions on items when you order.

• It's up to you whether you tip or not. I received an email after my delivery asking me to rate my delivery person and an option for tipping, starting at $2.00.

In order to use Instacart you must sign up here – again, signing up doesn't automatically enroll you in Instacart Express. Put in your zip and then click the “shop Homeland” button. From there you'll either be offered stores to pick from or it will let you know it's not available in your area yet.
