2022 National Nurses Week Freebies!

May is the month we celebrate nurses and all they do for us. Having been a Labor & Delivery nurse for 25 years (now retired) and a hospital patient I know how hard they work.

Pulling 12 hour shifts on their feet, sometimes too busy to even get a meal, staying late to finish paperwork that didn't get done so patient care wouldn't suffer, but most of all showing kindness and a caring attitude no matter what, to those in their care. They've had to work especially hard this year so if you have the opportunity, give them a thankyou!

Whether you have been a nurse for decades or a part of one of the many direct entry nursing programs running across the country, there are plenty of freebies that are applicable to you this week. So get involved and enjoy the appreciation and thanks whilst you can.

Here's a list of the freebies and offers for Nurses this year, May 6th thru 12th

Restaurant Offers:

Applebee’s – Nurses get a free appetizer with any entree purchase through May 15. Only available in person and must verify I.D.

Chipotle – Nominate a fellow healthcare worker for the chance to receive free Chipotle for a year. Tag a colleague on Chipotle’s Nurses Week Instagram, Facebook or Twitter post by May 6.

Chick-fil-a – You'll have to call your local store for info as they generally do not put out a National offer but leave it up to each store.

Circle K is giving away free coffee, tea or polar pop drinks to frontline workers.

Corner Bakery – From May 4 through May 8, nurses and health care pros can score free coffee.

Dunkin – Participating locations are offering a free 16oz. Dunkin’ Dark Roast iced or hot coffee & donut, May 6-12, between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. with a valid health care ID. CALL FIRST as no one I talked to here in Oklahoma City seemed to know if they were participating.

Hooters – In appreciation of all local healthcare workers, first responders, and military personnel for their efforts in these times and at all times, Hooters is offering 20% off all food takeout orders every day until further notice. Valid form of ID required.

McAlister's – Nurses can get a FREE 32oz. iced tea. Dine-in or or take out orders only. Valid thru 5-11. Must show ID. Was posted on their facebook page here.

Outback – All nurses, doctors, medical staff, military veterans, servicemen and women, police, firefighters, and first responders can save 10% with the Heroes Discount at Outback, takeout, or dining in. Not valid on online orders. Offer good all day, every day with valid ID.

RETAIL OFFERS:

Amazon – Curl up with a selection of four free medical drama books, specially curated to celebrate nurses.

Adidas – Receive 30% off in-store and on the Adidas website, and 20% off at factory outlet stores, when you verify your status as a nurse with ID.me.
