Hide Every Gift in Plain Sight With Lowe’s Holiday Under Wraps Boxes
If you have tiny detectives at home, Lowe’s Holiday Under Wraps Boxes might save your sanity this year. According to a new Lowe’s survey, kids ask about gifts an average of 51 times during the holiday season. That is a lot of “you’ll see” responses. Lowe’s Holiday Under Wraps Boxes are a clever, free way to hide presents in plain sight so the magic actually survives until morning.
These boxes look like totally normal shipping boxes for everyday home items. Inside, of course, you tuck the real gifts. On the outside, you get funny “fake” product packaging, like:
- A “desk lamp” box that reads: “Brightening holidays by keeping you in the dark”
- A sneaky “storage bin” box that says: “Stow it now. Sleigh the holiday later”
- A “charcoal grill” box with: “Now with the Fresh-Seal Lock-Tight Lid system”
So when kids peek in the closet, all they see is boring home stuff. Joke is on them.
How To Get Lowe’s Holiday Under Wraps Boxes
From December 3 through December 19, Lowe’s Holiday Under Wraps Boxes are available for free in-store at select Lowe’s locations in:
- Chicago
- Charlotte
- Dallas
- Los Angeles
- New York
They are available while supplies last, so it is smart to grab them early. You will need to be an eligible MyLowe’s Rewards or MyLowe’s Pro Rewards member to get the boxes. However, joining is free and you can sign up online or in-store.
Each box comes in one of three discreet designs and sizes. There is also a QR code on the box that unlocks exclusive MyLowe’s Rewards deals and gifts throughout the season. So not only are you hiding gifts, you are also unlocking extra savings.
Not near a participating city? You can still DIY the idea using standard Lowe’s moving boxes or any basic shipping box. Wrap the gift. Pack it inside. Label it as something boring, like “Old Books” or “Winter Boots.” Instant decoy.
Why Parents Need A Gift Hiding Upgrade
Lowe’s survey makes it painfully clear that kids are basically tiny FBI agents:
- Kids ask about their gifts 51 times during the season.
- 57% of kids have found or opened a gift before the holidays.
- 63% of parents have disguised a gift as something else.
- 34% have used a decoy gift to throw kids off the scent.
- 55% of parents have actually forgotten where they hid a gift until after the holidays.
And yes, the hiding spots get weird. Parents admit to stashing gifts in:
- Empty cereal boxes
- Dirty laundry
- Garbage cans
- The doghouse
Honestly, that is a lot of mental load for a season that is already exhausting. Tools like Lowe’s Holiday Under Wraps Boxes help parents simplify the chaos, keep the surprise factor, and stop stressing about whether the kids found the “big gift” two weeks ago.
Final Thoughts
If you are already juggling holiday parties, school events, and last minute shopping, outsourcing the “gift hiding” problem to Lowe’s Holiday Under Wraps Boxes just makes sense. Free decoy boxes, bonus rewards, and fewer interrogation sessions from the kids sound like a holiday win.
