If you're confused about how Target applies Cartwheel when gift cards are involved, here's the easiest way we found to explain it: Target treats gift cards as if they were a Target store coupon. As with all Target store coupons, they come off your total BEFORE any Cartwheel percentage is deducted. So just add up the cost of everything that involves a gift card and deduct $5 (or whatever the gift card amount is) then subtract the Cartwheel off what's left. 🙂
