Just got back from Walgreens! I went to check out this Sweetarts deal to make sure it was working for us Okies before I posted it. I'm happy to say that it is!! This week Walgreens is having a 3/$1.50 candy sale and the Sweetarts are included. There is also a $.75/3 Walgreens cpn AND when you buy 6 you'll get a $1.00/6 Sweetarts catalina! My children's choir at church are gonna love these!

Here's how it works:

Transaction #1

Buy 6 Nestle Wonka Sweetarts 3/$1.50 (total $3.00)
Use $.75/3 Nestle candy (will take off $1.50)- – Walgreens Dec. cpn booklet
Final price: 6/$1.50 ($.25 ea.) + get $1.00/6 catalina cpn

Transaction #2

Buy 6 Nestle Wonka Sweetarts 3/$1.50  (total $3.00)
Use $.75/3 Nestle Candy (will take off $1.50) – Walgreens Dec. cpn booklet
Use $1.00/6 Sweetarts catalina cpn
Final price: 6/$.50 (about $.08 ea.) + another $1.00/6 catalina cpn!

My catalinas have an expiration date of 1-31-12 so plenty of time to save them for another sale if you don't feel the need to stock up now. I did 3 transactions and got a catalina each time! My Walgreens has a TON of these Sweetarts! Keep in mind that if your state has sales tax you'll have to pay that in addition to the total above.

Thanks Wild For Wags!

  1. I’m sorry. I’m confused. you say it will take off $1.50 when you buy 6. So does it automatically do that?

  2. on the first trans action u only have to buy 3 to get the catalina to start your set up. My Wags is great they let me do as many in a row as like. i just stop and let other customers go through.

  3. OK let me answer all the questions LOL!
One coupon per offer just means you can’t use more than one of the coupons per transaction (or offer).

The Walgreens I went to was at 122nd and N. May but every Walgreens carries these and the catalina should print at every store 🙂

Thanks Katy….to save time I bought 6 at a time so I didn’t have to do so many transactions (time saving issue LOL!)

  4. Yes Connie, when you use a Walgreens coupon on multiple items the coupon only has to be scanned once and it will take off the appropriate amount on each item automatically. For example if you buy 3 candy bars and there is a coupon for $.25/1 in the Walgreens booklet the cashier only has to scan the coupon once and it will take $.25 off each candy bar or $.75 total. Hope this helps 🙂
