Walmart Savings Catcher Changes – What You Need to Know!
Saving Catcher Changes!
Don't get too excited, Walmart is just tweaking their program. There are some things you need to be aware of.
Starting February 1, 2018, the Savings Catcher program will undergo the following changes:
- Your rewards will automatically be transferred to your Savings Catcher eGift card each time they're earned. No need to manually redeem your rewards.
- Your Savings Catcher eGift card will be automatically saved to your Walmart.com account for you, so you will no longer receive emails with your Savings Catcher eGift card bar code.
- The ability to transfer rewards to a Bluebird card will be discontinued.
- Walmart Pay will become the preferred way to spend your Savings Catcher rewards in-store. Additionally, you will continue to be able to spend your rewards on Walmart.com.
- You don't have to immediately spend your rewards when they're transferred to your eGift card. You can choose to accumulate them as desired.

Did I understand that you can still use a card? If so that is what I want to find out about.
Hi Jo Ann,
Not exactly sure what you’re asking. Do you mean, can you transfer your Savings Catcher money to a physical Walmart card? Sorry, sometimes I have to have things spelled out for me lol!
The savings catcher was easy before to just cash in!! I cannot cash it in now!! it is not going directly to my iphone, & when I put in my info, it is telling me I already have an account, will not let me continue, I do not have an account, but I did have a savings catcher, I cannot redeem my Savings, it said it was going to be easier it is not easy at all!! why can’t we just transfer it like before, won’t even let me do that! very fraustrating!! every one is complaining!! WHY DON’T YOU PUT IT BACK THE WAY IT WAS!!
Hi Lee, I hear your frustration. However we aren’t Walmart and have no control over what they do – we only report deals and info we find there. I would contact Walmart customer service. I bet they can help you get it straightened out. You have the Walmart app right? If not, get it on your phone and then sign into Savings Catcher from there. When you try and register to use the app, if tells you you already have an account, put in your Savings catcher user name and password – that may get you in.
