On April 22, METRO Transit will offer free rides for Earth Day. The free rides are available between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., on any route in Oklahoma City.

The buses are all equipped with bike racks to accommodate those who would like to bike to the bus stop or from the stop to their final destination. Metro Transit officials say the bus is also an economical alternative to the expense of owning and operating a car. And with unpredictable gas prices, now is a perfect time to try the bus.

Additionally, starting May 17, METRO Transit is launching its annual Free Fare Fridays, offering free rides on the third Friday of each month during ozone alert season, May through September.

For bus schedules and routes, visit gometro.org or call 405.235.RIDE for personal assistance from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
