Smuckers Blogger Trip – My Trip to Smuckers Headquarters #HolidayTips
I was invited this past month to J.M. Smuckers headquarters in Orville, OH. with several other bloggers. I have to say when I was first invited my first thought of Smuckers was jelly and ice cream topping. I had no idea how many brands J.M. Smuckers actually owned. The trip was amazing. We stayed in a quaint little hotel out in the woods which was a beautiful setting. I even had bird feeders outside my window. The first night at dinner was great as we got to meet the team as well as mingle with all my blogger friends.
Smuckers had a lot planned for us and the first session that our group attended was “Coffee 101” where we got to talk to coffee experts, ask questions and find out how to become an expert coffee tester.
Then it was off to the kitchen for some culinary kitchen tips. I had the pleasure of having Tiffany from My Litter as my partner. Check out those potatoes! Don't they look amazing? That recipe is coming soon.
I also had the chance to work with Kiristen from Six Sisters during the baking session. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting her and getting to know her. Not sure how I didn't get a photo with her cooking LOL.
While we are on the topic of food, let's just say when you go to Smuckers you won't go hungry. I think I gained 10lbs from eating all this yummy food. For lunch they got creative showing us how you can make new meals out of using your Thanksgiving leftovers. My favorite dish was the Turkey Salad!
Yep that's me caught eating!!!!!
We also got a special treat. Smuckers brought in Nancy Hopkins , the Senior Deputy Food Editor from Better Homes and Gardens. She unveiled the new upcoming cover to us and chatted with us about food trends and what she see's coming. She also talked about holiday food traditions.
We also did some taste testing , a visit to the Smuckers House , photography session and more! One of my favorites was the trip to the Smuckers Store to have breakfast and shop. We even got to visit Mr Smucker himself. I felt like the picture below of him and I should have been like an old Christmas Card I should have sent to the family. We had a lot of fun shopping and checking out all the different brands. You should have seen all the funny photos and poses we cam up with. There was a joke about Paul and Tiffany's kids always photo bombing them so of course Kristen and I had to do at least 1 photo bomb during the trip! I had so much fun that I am already ready to go back!
Disclosure: My travel was paid for by Smuckers. I was not compensated for this post.
