I think my kids have always been a little more excited about Valentine's Day than me! It's just something about the school Valentine's party, ALL the candy, and of course getting the chance at a surprise from mom and dad.
I always head over to Walmart or Target to pick up the basics like Valentines, candy and stickers. However, I love to find each kid something special as the budget permits. I know a lot of parents are looking for fun and new gift ideas for a birthday this time of year, as well. It can be hard to think of something, right after Christmas! Our older kids can make their own 3-D shapes while younger kids can follow the included templates. I think our kids love the food templates the most. This game includes a base plate with 3 Degrees of Difficulty for Ages 2-6. Some of these games really require you to think! I like how they are similar to the Tangram Shapes which are great tactile practice in math. Just follow the guides and make designs or you can make your own. We had fun making our own little “town” setting all of the shapes up on a table top. Great activity set for preschool, home-schoolers, or even church groups.
