Berry season is coming and this is the perfect recipe to make a fresh Berry Sauce. This sauce is great with whipped cream, ice cream, waffles, angel food cake or shortcake.
I made this Berry Sauce when we had company over. I paired it with some homemade whipped cream and angel food cake….and it was heavenly. It tasted so fresh and berrylicious!
What will you eat it with?
Fresh Berry Sauce
Ingredients
3 Cups berries ( make at least 1/2 strawberries)
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
Wash berries. Slice the strawberries and any other large berries.
In a medium bowl add about 1/3 of the berries. Take a potato masher and gently mash the berries.
Add the rest of the berries, sugar and vanilla. Stir until completely mixed.
Let it sit for at least 20 minutes.
Serve with whipped cream or over ice cream, waffles, pancakes, shortcake...etc! Enjoy!
