I am sure we all have wonderful memories as a child cooking in our Easy Bake Oven. I always hated running out of mixes and they were so hard to find. Of course when my kids were little we had to continue the tradition. The one thing I hated most was hearing “Mom I'm out of mix “or “Mom I messed this mix up and I don't have any more”. I am sure many of you have gone through the same thing. Did you know that you can make your own Easy Bake Oven mixes at home using items in your pantry? It's great for when you don't have the time to go to the store to pick up more mixes.

Cake Mix: (using boxed cake mix)

  1. You will need to grease and flour your small pan.
  2. Mix 3 tablespoons of cake mix and 1 tablespoonof milk
  3. Mix until smooth and pour in pan.
  4. Preheat your easy bake oven and cook for 15mins.
DIY Easy Bake Oven Mix
As always depending on what cake mix you buy , you may need to adjust the recipe. Just store the left over mix in a baggie and mark down the expiration date. You can probably make around 15- 20 cakes with one box.

Frosting:

  • Mix 3 tablespoons of Jiffy White Frosting Mix with 1 teaspoon of hot water.

 

Easy Bake Oven Brownie Mix:

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 2-1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2-1/2 tablespoons flour
  • 4 teaspoons chocolate syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Blend all ingredients until the batter is nice and smooth.
  2. Grease and flour your Easy Bake Oven cake pan.
  3. Pour in your ingredients and bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  4. Let cool, and cut into pieces

Easy Bake Oven Pizza:

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon pizza sauce
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 teaspoon margarine
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons milk


Directions:

  1. Preheat your Easy Bake Oven to 15 minutes.
  2. Stir together baking powder, flour, salt and margarine until dough looks like medium-sized type crumbs.
  3.  
  4. Slowly add your milk while stirring dough.
  5.  
  6. Shape dough into a ball and place into  your greased Easy Bake Oven pan.
  7.  
  8. Use your fingers to pat the dough evenly over the bottom of the pan, then up the sides to form the crust.
  9.  
  10. Pour the sauce evenly over the dough, then sprinkle with cheese and add any other toppings.
  11.  
  12. Bake 20 mins.

Remove.
