5 Uses for Coconut Oil
I have a new found love for Coconut Oil. I keep seeing all the amazing benefits of using it. Here's a list of some of my favorite uses. I've actually tried these, so you know that they work! Please share what some of your favorites are!
Cooking: This may seem like a no-brainer, but I know that when I bought my first jar of coconut oil I wasn't sure what I should use it for. The number one thing I use it for is cooking popcorn. I've even heard that many movie theaters use coconut oil to cook their popcorn. It works great and it adds a nice flavor. I use it a lot in stir fry and even baking!
You can use coconut oil in place of olive oil as well. So the next time you have a recipe that calls for olive oil, replace it and see how you like it!
Hair: My next favorite use of coconut oil is for my hair. About once a month or whenever I notice my hair needs it I do a conditioning mask using coconut oil. I spoon the oil into my hands and rub it until it melts. ( It becomes a liquid at 76 degrees F so it's generally a solid while being stored) I rub a few tablespoons through my hair focusing on the ends. Then I wrap my hair in plastic wrap to trap in the heat and let it sit for at least 15 minutes. Then I shower as usual. It works wonders!!
Body Moisturizer: Coconut oil is very moisturizing and since there are no chemicals included it's great for those who have sensitive skin and babies. It may seems a little greasy at first but it quickly absorbs into the skin. Make sure you focus on your hands and feet that need extra moisture.
I've also heard the coconut oil can help with acne and wrinkles!
Lipbalm: I can't even begin to tell you how many tubes of chapstick I've lost! No more! Coconut oil keeps lips soft and subtle….very kissable!
Stretch Mark: I've already mentioned that coconut oil is great for the skin, but it's also great for helping to erase stretch marks. I wish I could say it will make them completely disappear like a magic act but it will definitely help improve them!

A natural product that is versatile. Safe for children too! Baking, frying, moisturizer for skin or makeup remover, sunburn. The list goes on. Nature’s wonder:)

I ‘hide’ my dog’s seizure medicine in it! Also use on my hands (it’s helped get rid of wrinkly fingertips).
I use it on my face and all over my body 🙂
If you actually have dry skin, honey works so much better, even on eczema spots. Wash and rise off, and it feels like you moisturized your skin. Coconut oil doesn’t work for my skin, lips included.
