All week I've been looking forward to Friday night. Friday night is date night! My mouth had been watering all week for nice big delicious salad. You know, the kind with all the extra fancy toppings. I'm trying to eat healthier and salads are helping me achieve that goal.

So Friday night came, but date night did not. My husband had to work late. I was so disappointed.  I have 2 little girls at home and sometimes I just need a little grown-up time! Plus I hadn't planned on making dinner and I didn't really feel like it. That's when I remembered that I had bought the new Lean Cuisine Salad Additions that other day when I was shopping at Walmart. So I went to work making the kids a quick dinner and then making my date night happen! I put the chicken and veggies on the lettuce, added the dressing and opened some sparkling cider! My husband was so excited to come home to find that he had date night waiting for him!

The salads were great! They definitely hit the spot! They tasted just like an expensive salad at a restaurant, but it costs a lot less and it's so convenient! No reservations required! I tried the Asian-style chicken and my husband had the Southwest-style chicken. I loved that the chicken and vegetables were hot and fresh.I felt like I was actually at a restaurant. My daughter even pretended to be our waiter and carried over our dishes.

I thought date night was ruined, but thanks to Lean Cuisine Salad Additions, we had a great date night in our own dining room!
