It's time to did Savings Catcher a farewell. Walmart has decided to discontinue the program. To some this will be a disappointment while others stopped using it after changes made by Walmart last October. I was one of those that stopped using it.
There are some things you need to know.
- Effective May 14, 2019. After May 14, you will no longer be able to submit your Walmart Pay eReceipts to Savings Catcher.
- The money you earn until then or already have on your eGift card will remain there until you are ready to use it, even after the program ends.
Walmart sites the reason that they discontinued the program is as follows:
What we've learned through Savings Catcher is that our efforts to lower prices upfront on thousands of items across our stores is working. Walmart's prices win most often when you submit your receipts, which tells us that the program's intent has been met. – no comment 🤔
