Once the turkey has been eaten and football has been watched, it's nice to get out as a family and spend some quality time together. Thanksgiving weekend doesn't all have to be about the shopping or TV! Here are a few outdoor ideas to get everyone off the couch. If you're feeling a little more adventurous, check out Globo Surf for more outdoor activities ideas.
Head to Martin Nature Park– Walk the trails and feed the fish and the turtles. (Free)

Take the family to the Oklahoma City Zoo- One of the best zoos I have been to. $7 admission. Closed Thanksgiving Day but open the following weekend.
Oklahoma Railway Museum Admission is free and it's a fun walk through museum in north Oklahoma City. It is indoor/outdoor. They are also booking now for the Christmas Train with Santa! If you're interested, jump on this one, since it is already filling up fast. Click here to book. Cost is $15 for ages 3 and over.
Walk the river and ride on the Bricktown Water Taxi. Pass is $11, and the water Taxi is open Thanksgiving weekend. Hours are 11 am-7 pm, so a nice thing to do before or after dinner. Note- it's breezy on the river, so be sure to bundle up! Right now, enjoy the Bricktown Canal Lights!!
Take the family to view Holiday Christmas Lights– This one is fun and often free, depending upon where you're headed. Some locations offer hot cocoa and snacks, but a frugal tip is to just bring your own bottled waters or stop for drinks ahead of time, and of course bring along some snacks or Christmas cookies! Note- During popular hours, lines can be long.
