    Corn Casserole

This Corn Casserole is an amazingly creamy side dish that perfectly complements just about every meal. It’s great with everything from lasagna to Mexican. My favorite part, my kids love it! It’s perfect for when you’re having company too. Most of us have seen this golden cornbread looking casserole at some point. Whether it was at a potluck or a family gathering we all remember knowing it would be gone before the last person got through the line! Those of us lucky enough to have tried it have fallen in instant culinary love with this crusty creation.

    Crock Pot Corn Chowder Recipe

I love knowing I’m coming home to a warm bowl of soup after a long day, especially when it’s getting chilly outside. Oklahoma weather is unpredictable at best. For example on a typical day it might go a little like this: wake up to a frosty cold morning with a possible warming and windy afternoon, then any where from twenty to thirty degree drop in temp as soon as the sun goes down. It’s hard to plan what to wear, let alone what to eat. That’s why I make this Crock-Pot Corn Chowder at least once a month.

    Butter Dip Biscuits Recipe

Butter. Dipped. Biscuits. Are any other words really necessary? There’s just so many good things about those words! These are the perfect crumble up biscuit and gravy biscuits, or jelly biscuits, or, or… With no shortening or butter cut into your batter, this biscuity dough rises high and they are light and fluffy. I like the easy-peasy dump right into a pan of melted butter because they’re so quick, but you can form them into sticks or even balls if you like. They’ll be quite wet so be sure to flour your hands well before touching the dough if you’re an overachiever, LOL! If you want a sticks, just barely shape strips of dough and lay them in the pan.

    Sweet Potato Coins Recipe

For a twist on the traditional try out these Sweet Potato Coins for an appetizer your friends and family will love you for! Year after year everyone has their favorite dishes that get requested, but the one thing that no one asks for is the appetizers and relish tray. They don’t ask because it would be a sin to skip them! There will always be little hands (and probably not so little hands too) wearing olives on every finger! And we all pretend we mind even though we don’t as long as they don’t go back on the tray that is! Someone always says, “You’re still making your sweet potatoes aren’t you?” “Of course I am!” Because no holiday gathering is complete without candied yams. Although, come to think on it, I don’t know what the difference between a yam and a sweet potato is. Maybe it’s just where you’re from. Hmm? One day when I have extra time, I’ll look that up.
