DIY Placemats… Great for The Holidays!

Here's a fun craft to do with the kiddos for Thanksgiving. Make your own placemats! I did this a few years ago for our Thanksgiving dinner and we still use them. I just used some scrapbook paper, something that's thicker like card stock. Then let your kids decorate it! Let them experiment and show off their artistic sides – encourage them to use their imaginations. 

We each added our name and handprint  – it's so cute to see my daughter put hers up to it and see how much she's grown. Just make sure that you keep it flat. If you used raised stickers or embellishments then it might not laminate well.

Once you have it decorated then can take it to an office supply store to get laminated. They were able to do it while I waited in the store and it didn't cost that much at all.

I love writing notes all year long, and hiding them for my husband to find. I’ve even hid them inside a pair of his socks. Sticky notes left on the bathroom mirror when you’re getting into bed will make sure he has a smile on his face first thing in the morning!
