As a self proclaimed Consumer Queen, I always have an eye out for the best deals. Since Mother’s and Dad’s Day are coming up, I've selected a list of favorites for moms, dads, and pet parents. I don’t know about you, but finds seem even better when I can stretch my budget and share hidden gems, so read on! 

Molly Bz Cookies

Created by a single mom who was down to her last $150 when she started this company that exploded, there’s something truly special about Molly Bz Cookies. These cookies are made with care and quality ingredients, not just mass-produced shortcuts. I love how they bring that nostalgic, fresh-from-the-oven feeling. New on her menu are cookie doughs that can be made in an air fryer! Molly’s flavors are fun and nostalgic, I’m particularly fond of these flaky shortbread babies with zesty lemon and lavender boba gels. My ultimate favorite is the Be Cordial. Yum!

FUR4

Every pet parent deals with fur balls all over their house; especially my house with 3 dogs Tilly, Chloe and Papi. I so appreciate how FUR4 has thoughtfully re-designed the typical pet brush without those razor sharp metal teeth that – to me – look like they hurt. These brushes are made for every type of 4-legged and different types of fur to painlessly remove undercoats for long hair breeds, gently take out short hairs that have had their day in the sun. Beatifying my baby's coats is now a joy for (and for them).

As much as I love my pups, they have always had breath that makes me feel like kissing is the last of my gestures of affection. No matter how good chicken toothpaste might sound to a pet, it’s impossible to brush their teeth. Dental Fresh just simplified this struggle and keeps my pet’s breath fresh and their pearly whites, well, white again. I can always get behind a simple addition to a daily routine, especially when the difference is so noticeable. 

Just Ingredients

For moms, like me who are going through menopause and experiencing horrible brain fog, this will be a very appreciated give. When I found Just Ingredient’s clean, simple “Energy and Brain Boost” beverage, I was all over it! It’s so refreshing to find a brand that prioritizes transparency and avoids unnecessary fillers. Heaven knows that moms need a lot of energy so anything that makes it easier for her to get a little self-care is high on my gift list. 

Simply Divine

Every hard-working parent can use a miracle – and that makes spa-like skincare one of my favorite types of gifts. Now that I’m in my 50’s I might just steal this botanical skin oil for me!  The Simply Divine oil blend is the most exotic mix of oils I’ve ever seen; Squalane, Maracuja, Tamanu, Evening Primrose, Bakuchi, Neroli, Helichrysum, Palo Santo, Blue Tansy and others that had me deep in global Google searches of wonder.  I cannot get the divine fragrance out of my mind. Created by a mom with a gaggle of kids, not sure how she managed to do this, but it’s impressive.

Candles are always great gifts. I absolutely love the concept behind The Growing Candle—it turns something simple into something meaningful – like the gratitude I have for my parents. Not only does it create a warm, cozy atmosphere while it burns, but once it’s finished, it transforms into a chance to grow something new. What a great combo of self-care and sustainability. For parents, it’s a great way to plant flowers together once the candle has finished. 

Donelan Family Wines

This is an awesome and impressive gift for wine-loving folks. There are so many wines in the world, but the small production, super high quality family vineyards are the ones that seem most appropriate for this kind of gift. It turns out that Donelan Family Wines has attracted huge 90+ wine scores, which doesn’t hurt in a quiet moment at home after putting the kids down for bed. And, who doesn’t love a memorable California pinot?

I’ve really fallen in love withNécessaire for its simple, elevated approach to body care. For parents who are always so rushed and pulled in every direction, this is a little treat that puts a pause on the rush shower routine. I think my Mom will really appreciate bodycare that’s as high quality as the face products she indulges in. All the products feature clean ingredients and subtle scents, this is the kind of brand that makes you slow down and appreciate the basics.

I think that the makers of Charlee Bear do a great job with their line of treats named after a little dog that looked like a bear. 

Simple Modern

Everyone loves their water bottle. And, if your parents are still lugging around that Nalgene ugly from 1985, it’s a responsible and kind child who gives them the pretty and modern water accessory that they deserve. Of the many water bottles out there, Simple Modern is the most sleek and beautiful I’ve ever seen. The contemporary colors and patterns are Vogue-worthy, keep your liquid cold – and nicely fit into the car cup holder. And, parents especially need hydration to stay on their high energy game.

For the grill master in your life, which is of course, usually Dad, these gorgeous stainless steel, fish-bone shaped BBQ skewers will make them very happy. Proud Grill Company’s outdoor cooking implements add to a great aesthetic and are very well-made. The best part is the pride in which I can just picture my husband Daniel, serving up kabobs straight to guest plates while they oooh and aaaah over their BBQ prowess. Everyone loves his cooking. You know how gentle it feels on a Saturday when you wake slowly to a rising sun? Well, your parents, who woke you every day of your young life, probably appreciate that more than others. Sleep is important for everyone but especially parents running around with toddlers.

I like how they create opportunities for connection, laughter, and a little friendly competition, whether it’s a family game night or just relaxing with friends. These would be great activities to do while celebrating Mother’s or Father's day.
