Fit & Active : Let ALDI Help You Slim Your Wallet and Your Waistline
Fit & Active is Aldi's line of healthier food options! Great flavors and a fraction of the price of name brand health foods!
Fit & Active from Aldi:
If you're looking to add some healthier food options for snacks, lunches, or dinner, Fit & Active from Aldi is a great place to start.
When I first tried Fit & Active, I knew it had to be good. Our kids were pretty picky at the time, so it was hard to find things that were healthy that they also would eat for snacks! I had tried another brand of yogurt for my daughter hoping she would like it, but it was a no go.
At that time, ALDI told me about their new Fit & Active line and that I should take a look. We ended up buying the Fit & Active Strawberry nonfat smoothie and she came home from school and said and I quote “Mom that yogurt was the best, I want to take one to school everyday”. Fit & Active was a hit!
Healthier Snack Ideas for Kids and Teens:
We also love the Fit & Active Ranch Rice snacks at only 70 calories per serving. These are so much better than potato chips for hungry kids!
For sweet snacks to keep at home for after school (or for virtual school as kids always seem to get hungry), the Fit & Active Baked Chocolate Chip Wafers at only 100 calories a pack are a great option.
If your kids love nuts, be sure to try the 100 Calorie Packs of Almonds and Cashews. There are even flavored nuts like Dill Pickle!
Other ALDI Essentials for Getting Healthy:
You can definitely save money while getting healthy with ALDI. Each week, Queen Mum posts ALDI Finds— including great prices on produce!
WATER AND SPORTS DRINKS:
If you need to buy disposable water bottles for any reason, ALDI is a great place to find them. At the beginning of the year and also during sports seasons, look for 24 packs for under $2!
Oatmeal:
Oats can be a great breakfast idea when you're trying to cut those calories. The great thing about ALDI is that their brands cost SO much less than the name brands at Walmart or Target. Yes there are some pretty delicious Organic Oatmeal brands out there. But if you're watching the budget closely or buying healthier foods for a larger family, ALDI gets my vote!
EGGS:
Hands down, ALDI is my favorite place to buy eggs. Why? Well for one they are just a fraction of the price I would pay at one of my other grocers. And they are great quality. I would say the large eggs have always been comparable with eggs from Walmart or any of my other usual stops. As you might have noticed from looking at healthy recipes, eggs show up a lot!
Hummus:
For a snack that won't undo the entire day of healthy eating, I love Hummus on a few pretzels or even carrot sticks! The ALDI hummus is about half what it is at my other local grocery store. They offer a quite a few options, including Organic Hummus and Tapenade (locations vary of course). Be sure to try it out if you need a dip for snacking!

I have been trying to loose a few pounds/inches, but with no success with some of the advertised diets on tv. I bought eight cases of the shakes today.{32) and am going to give it a try. I have to find out where to buy the bar shakes since my Aldi’s store doesn’t stock them now. Paul
