Everything Is Better With Lobster!
I've only had lobster a few times, so when I got the opportunity to get 4 Live Lobsters shipped to my door I was so excited…and a little nervous! I didn't know for sure what to expect but I was up for a challenge!
After the Lobsters arrived my whole family was excited. My little girls were curious but then quickly decided they wanted nothing to do with them, but I caught them peeking in on them occasionally.
I planned my menu and invited some friends over for dinner. My menu was grilled asparagus, mashed potatoes and a salad. Dinner was fabulous. It was such a fun experience, Lobster makes everything better!
How to Boil a Lobster:
1.Fill a large pot about 3/4 with water. Add lots of salt, it should be salty like sea water! Bring to a boil.
2.Cut the bands off of the lobster and put it into the water head down. Return to a rolling boil and cover.
3.Let cook for 15-20 minutes for a 1 1/2 pound lobster.
I was so surprised at how much the color changed, they turned bright red!
After cooking, the fun begins! We laughed as we tried to figure out how to crack open the claws to get to the meat, but we got the hang of it.
And what's lobster without a delicious butter dipping sauce. Check out this Garlic Lemon Butter!
