Price Matching Now Available at Staples

Price matching is now available at Staples.  I was scrolling through my email and I came across this image where it says that Staples will price match any competitor with an online and retail store PLUS Amazon!

Staples Price Match Guarantee  boiled down says:

• If you find a lower price on a new identical item, just show us the lower price when you buy the item at Staples and we’ll match the price. Please read the following questions for full details.

• If you purchase an item from Staples and tell us within 14 days that you found that item at a lower price in our stores or at staples.com, we’ll refund the difference.

• Staples will price match items sold by any retailer who sells products in both retail stores and online under the same brand; we will also match those that are sold and shipped by Amazon.com. Marketplace products sold through any eligible competitor (e.g., products sold or shipped by a third party) are excluded.

• We don’t price match competitors’ or our own local or special events (e.g., grand opening, anniversary, clearance, timed sales or liquidation sales, “Black Friday” or “Cyber Monday” sales).

• The following products and services are excluded from our Price Match Guarantee: our StaplesEasyTech services, postage, gift and phone cards, and apps sold on the staples.com App Center, we do not price match taxes, warranties, typographical errors, merchandise credits or contracted prices offered to Staples Advantagecustomers.

• When calculating a price match, we’ll deduct any available Staples coupons, Staples rebates (instant, easy or mail-in) and manufacturer rebates from the Staples price to arrive at a net price.  For example, if you buy an item from us for $100 and we offer a $20 instant rebate, the net price is $80. If another company’s price is $80 or more, we will not match the price.  Another example: If you buy an item from us for $159 and you have a $30 coupon, the net price is $129. If another company’s price is $125, your price match would be $4 off our net price of $129. Dollars-off coupons will be proportionally deducted from the prices of items in your order.

• If a competitor offers a product that comes with an instant rebate, mail-in rebate, gift check/gift card or similar discounts, we will not take these discounts into account. If a competitor offers a product that comes with a free or discounted item, and Staples does not carry the free or discounted item, we will only match the price you pay at the point of purchase, and will not take the free or discounted item into account.

• If your staples.com order will receive free shipping and the competitor’s order will not receive free shipping, we will include an appropriate shipping charge in the competitor’s price before calculating the price match.  If your staples.com order will not receive free shipping, and the competitor's order will receive free shipping, we will deduct the Staples shipping charge from the competitor's price, so that the Staples price match item total is the same as the competitor’s price.
