I've had the Cook and carry brand for many years, and really prefer it to some of the other Crock-Pot models. For one, I almost always take a hot dish to a pot luck in my Crock-Pot. Knowing that the top won't slide away onto the floor of my car is a huge plus! For cooking at home, you can use the Crock-Pot as normal without the latches engaged.
