I am loving the flavors of this Alaska Cod and Alaska Spot Prawns with Tomatoes! After having finally been introduced to the amazing differences between farmed and wild caught fish, and how the taste is so light, flaky, and almost buttery if that’s even possible, I’ll definitely be looking for that wild caught label from now on!
NAKANO® Rice Vinegar is my secret ingredient for authentic tasting “Asian” dishes. That’s seriously all it takes to make your friends beg for your recipe! Swapping out my regular dressings and marinades for this fresh and I can’t forget to mention low calorie alternative is one of the best things I’ve done. This also uses honey so this recipe is free of processed sugars too. These Sticky Ginger Drumsticks are tender, fall of the bone, juicy, sweet, tangy, sticky chicken!

We’re almost halfway through the year, and I’ve been thinking about how I’m doing on a couple of my New Year’s resolutions. Eating healthier and spending more time with my family were near the top of my list. Now, I’m in no way saying this Easy Ravioli is a “healthy” dish, but it is easy! And that means that it gets me out of the kitchen and into the family room. My solution- I pair it with a green salad and veggies! It’s got a nice flavor with it’s cajun seasoning. Feel free to add a little extra, and kick it up a notch if you like it spicy! Plus, anything I make in my kitchen is bound to have less preservatives and added sugar than eating out so I’m counting that as not only a money saver but a healthier option too.
What has changed in the last 20 years that we are all such finicky eaters? And it’s not just our kids that are picky. It’s most of us! I happen to think it’s due, in part, to the wide variety of food we’re able to get at a moments notice with minimal effort, thank you to the drive throughs on every corner and the prepacked foods, all of us just a little more particular about what we’re willing to eat. No, really. Even though I hate the idea of putting all that junk into our bodies it’s been a necessary evil more than once! How many of us have stopped at more than one fast food drive through to please the passengers in our car? How I wish they could combine Chick-Fil-A and Schlotzkys! Anyways! Here are 20 Kid Friendly Lunches to help us feed those we love!
