Well I thought I would give you an update on what's going on at the home front here.

Sunday our church showed the movie FireProof and I cried through the whole movie. This is a wonderful movie for couples! They showed Horton Hears a who for the kids so that the parents could have peace while watching the movie LOL. Afterwards we went to Ihop with our friends from church Mandy and Katherine and I had a great time fellowshipping.

Hubby and I have decided that since he will be on disability due to his disease that we probably won't be able to move, so we have decided to add a room on the back of our house.  That way I will be able to finally have an office and a climate controlled area to store donations that we have etc. I am very excited about this, now all we have to do is save, save, save LOL .

We have also made it our goal to save up for a cruise. We have been on edge with each other lately, its hard when you have someone with a disease like this because you get frustrated with each other very easily. We decided we needed some alone time for mom and dad. I will let you know what kind of deals we find. We have always used Royal Carribean but we are looking at Carnival this time to to finances and they are much cheaper. We loved Royal Carribean by the way.

We went ahead and tried the new Pizza Hut wheat pizza. My kids always gag at the sound of wheat. They ate it and never knew the differance. It was great. I love wheat products and I plan on trying this again. You can check out all the special on the Pizza Hut site.

I hope by the end of the week I can tell you about the secret we were doing on Thursday. Hubby and I will also be traveling to Florida this weekend (again another secret sorry) but we will get to stay an extra day and we plan on going to Busch Gardens. Since I have never been, I thought it might be fun to blog about when I get back and tell you if it's worth going or not. Anyone know of any discount tickets? LOL

In 2 weeks, I will be off to SXSW thanks to Walmart and Hershey's! I hope that maybe I will get to meet some of you there. I would like to take this opportunity to thank both Walmart and Herhey's for sponsoring me. Without them I probably would not have been able to afford to go.

Found out my 9 year old son is reading at a 7th grade level and almost got to skip the 4th grade and missed it by 3 questions. Where have I been? How am I missing all of this? I am working full time and they are growing up so fast. His martial arts coach also told us that he was doing so well and if he keeps it up he maybe able to skip a belt.

Still trying to work on my Green changes around here. Still taking baby steps!

God has truly blessed us this year and I would love to shout it from the mountain tops. I cannot believe all the wonderful things and people he has brought into our lives.

Well that is it, but enough about me what's new with you guys? I want to know what you guys are up to. Any good news? Has God blessed you in some way?

  3. I watched Fireproof this weekend, too! It was excellent!!! Great reminder of what God can do in our lives if we let Him. I’ve got to look into that Fireproof Bible Study. I’m so glad I stumbled upon your blog. 🙂

    Hope you both enjoy it!!..
    ..
Did your husband hear about the low starch diet ? It is difficult to stay on it but he will feel better in a couple of months…
AS(ankylosing spondylitis) symptoms tends to stop when very low starch is in our body…..
About Bush Gardens, we love it.. I know discounts for Florida Residents only but sometimes Pepsi gives some discount if you take a can or something like that, I’m not sure…
When in Bush, go to the Crazy River(love it)…remember to go with swimsuits..check with weather.com first..this week the highest temperatures were in the 60’s…..
Hope your family enjoys the journey…
Ahh, and this weekend we have the Strawberry Festival in Plant City..it is about 20 minutes from Bush…Nice place to go while in Tampa…Another place??…During the night, Downtown St Pete’s….
    God Bless you all!
