The delicious combination of Ranch seasoning with crushed red pepper and cayenne pepper is perfect for anyone looking for some extra kick. Serve with a side of your favorite Ranch dressing (whether store-bought or homemade!) and you have a perfect snack, appetizer or party tray!
Of course these crackers are the perfect dish to bring to a 4th of July party, or any summer party for that matter, but they are also great all year around. Can you imagine how delicious these would be on a chilly fall day with a bowl of hot soup?!? OH YUMMMM! They also make a great appetizer for any party or get-together you have coming up.
I have a very bad habit of forgetting things so I often find myself scrambling last minute to find something to take to a church potluck or family get-together. These are great for when you find yourself in a pinch and need something easy and quick! Be sure to save this recipe because you will wish you had it one day!
Homemade Fire Crackers
Ingredients:
3/4 c. Olive Oil
1/4 c. dry Ranch seasoning or 1 packet of Ranch seasoning
2 Tblsp. Crushed Red Pepper
1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1 box Wheat (Ritz type) Crackers
Ranch dressing (optional)
Directions:
Combine all of the dry seasonings with the olive oil in a bowl and mix well.
Place crackers in a ” rel=”nofollow”>large bowl with a lid.
Pour the olive oil mixture evenly over the crackers then put the lid on the bowl and swirl the crackers to mix. Let sit for 2 to 3 hours, swirling the crackers every 15 to 30 minutes.
Pour the crackers gently onto paper towels to remove excess oil.
Serve with a side of Ranch dressing. (optional but highly recommended!)
