If you're like I was, you're thinking Fish+Tacos = NO WAY!  But let me tell you, these are a-ma-zing!  The flavor of the fish is fantastic and the creamy cilantro sauce tops it off beautifully!  If you've never given Fish Tacos a try, this would be a great recipe to start with!  Serve with a side of black beans and cilantro lime rice and you've got a quick and healthy meal!

Fish Tacos With Cilantro Sauce

These are an amazing switch up to regular tacos!

Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Total Time 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • Sauce:
  • 2/3 c. sour cream, or plain yogurt to make it healthier
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 c. cilantro
  • Fish:
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 Tbl. butter
  • Tilapia, 4 pieces
  • Cole slaw, optional
  • Avocado, optional
  • Corn tortillas

Instructions

  1. For the sauce:
  2. Blend the sour cream, garlic salt and cilantro together. Set aside.
  3. For the fish:
  4. Mix the paprika, cumin and garlic salt together in a small bowl.
  5. Melt the butter in a sauce pan and place the fish in a pan. Rub with spices and cook until white.
  6. Top with cole slaw, cilantro sauce and avocado. Enjoy!

Notes

Cook fish until white/flaky. Cooking times may vary. A good tip is to thaw fish in refrigerator and pat dry prior to cooking.
