If you're like I was, you're thinking Fish+Tacos = NO WAY! But let me tell you, these are a-ma-zing! The flavor of the fish is fantastic and the creamy cilantro sauce tops it off beautifully! If you've never given Fish Tacos a try, this would be a great recipe to start with! Serve with a side of black beans and cilantro lime rice and you've got a quick and healthy meal!
Fish Tacos With Cilantro Sauce
These are an amazing switch up to regular tacos!
Ingredients
- Sauce:
- 2/3 c. sour cream, or plain yogurt to make it healthier
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/4 c. cilantro
- Fish:
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 Tbl. butter
- Tilapia, 4 pieces
- Cole slaw, optional
- Avocado, optional
- Corn tortillas
Instructions
- For the sauce:
- Blend the sour cream, garlic salt and cilantro together. Set aside.
- For the fish:
- Mix the paprika, cumin and garlic salt together in a small bowl.
- Melt the butter in a sauce pan and place the fish in a pan. Rub with spices and cook until white.
- Top with cole slaw, cilantro sauce and avocado. Enjoy!
Notes
Cook fish until white/flaky. Cooking times may vary. A good tip is to thaw fish in refrigerator and pat dry prior to cooking.
