Meet Baked Potato’s Younger, Tastier Brother!
I just made these with dinner tonight and I just had to share! Right now are getting a lot of potatoes in my house. I found a 50lb bag at my local grocery store for 10 bucks and I just couldn't resist! Needless to say we've had potatoes with just about every meal! But this was the best yet and so easy too!
First scrub the taters nice and clean. Thinly slice them but make sure that you don't go all the way through. If you do it's not a big deal, you'll just have potato halves instead! Then arrange them on a cookie sheet covered in foil. I put a pad of butter on top of each potato and then sprinkle them with salt and pepper. Put them in an over at 450 degrees for about 25-30 minutes, or until they are turning a pretty brown! That's it…told ya it was easy!
You can top it with sour cream or rip each slice apart and dip in ketchup!! Yum!
Enjoy!
When slicing these I put 2 wooden spoon handles down and the potato in the middle. It keeps you from slicing through! They are delicious and my family LOVES them….
Thanks for the tip!
How good would they be, if you prepared them the same way. But deep fried them instead of baking them?
I haven’t tried it that way but it sounds delicious!
