Tropicana Orange Cookies! Perfect for the Holiday Cookie Exchanges!

In fact, they're so yummy that my daughter begged me to make them again. The best part is that all of the ingredients are things we usually have in our house. This is just one example of how baking with your kids can be both fun and rewarding!


I love orange juice. It's the perfect drink for a hot day, and it tastes great in baked goods while infusing them with orange flavor! I find that orange juice is also a versatile ingredient- you can use it to make orange ice cream or even delicious orange cake pops if you're feeling really adventurous! So start your ovens ladies and gentlemen, because today we are going to be making some of my favorite cookies ever – Orange Juice Cookies!

Orange juice cookies might sound weird at first but don't knock it until you try it because these cookies will quickly become a family favorite.

This orange juice cookie recipe is quick and easy to make, with a delicious orange flavor that kids of all ages will love. They're also not too sweet so they'll be perfect for holiday baking or bringing as gifts to share at your next get together!

For this recipe you will need 8 ingredients – Flour, Butter, Sugar, Baking Soda, Baking Powder, Egg, Salt and Orange Juice! Alternatively you can freeze them after baked so they'll last longer but still taste delicious when thawed. I like to keep mine in a sealed container lined with paper towels to soak up any moisture.

I love Tropicana Orange Juice because it's not from concentrate, meaning the only thing that's in the bottle is delicious natural orange juice made from fresh oranges!  I really like the fact that Tropicana Pure Premium is 100% pure Florida orange juice, not to mention it comes in an attractive package as well! The soft fluffy sugar cookies have a slight hit of orange along with the orange sugary glaze.

Tropicana Cookies

This Tropicana Orange cookie is delicious.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup Tropicana orange juice
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Cream softened butter and sugar together.
  2. Add the egg and blend well.
  3. Add the Tropicana orange juice, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Beat until fully mixed then add the flour.
  4. Let chill in refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  5. Spoon onto greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 7 minutes or until the edges turn light brown.
  6. When cooled spread icing on top.
  7. Enjoy!

    1. Hi Debby.
      There isn’t an icing recipe for the cookies, you just use what you have on hand. You might try some cream cheese frosting and add a couple of tablespoons of Tropicana to the can. 🙂
