Stuck at Home? Stream Free Movies, The Zoo, Entertainment & More! 

With just about everyone stuck at home due to COVID-19, we thought we'd put together a list of freebies to occupy you and the kiddos. If you've gone through all your craft ideas and you're out of books to read, try some of the FREE streaming programs available! Just click on the ones you want to investigate. 

Stream Movies and TV Programs:

  • Catmouse: FREE TV programs & movies (works on Android, iOs, PC and Firestick)
  • Pluto TV: FREE TV programs & movies 
  • Tubi TV: FREE TV programs & movies
  • Vudu: Both FREE & pay TV programs/movies – sign up for free, will ask for payment info but you do not have to enter it, just click “do later”. No subscription – you pay as you rent. The free programs have ads. 
  • Roku Channel: Sign up for a free account and watch FREE TV programs and movies.

Stream the Zoo:

  • Cincinnati Zoo – Stream a “Home Safari” live everyday at 3:00 pm EDT (2:00 pm Central Time). The Safari will be posted on their website as well as YouTube. Catch up on the ones you've missed by clicking here (YouTube).

Stream Museums & More:

  • Metropolitan Opera: Nightly Opera streams – each opera will stream starting at 7:30pm EDT (6:30 pm Central Time) thru 3:30pm EDT the next day. Although you can watch without a streaming program, due to the heavy web traffic they suggest going thru Roku, Amazon, Apple devices and Samsung Smart TV.
  • 92Y Entertainment Broadcasts: Watch recorded live performances by pianists, dancers, concerts and more. Just scroll down and click on the category you're interested in – upcoming programs will be listed first. 
  • FREE Drawing Classes: graphic journalist Wendy MacNaughton is offering free, daily drawing classes on Instagram (@WendyMac)Live for the week of March 16. Each virtual drawing class will be kept in MacNaughton’s Instagram stories for 24 hours once the livestream is over. You can checkout other peoples work at hashtag #drawtogether. 
  • Scholastic Learn at Home: This site offers day-by-day projects to keep kids reading, thinking, and growing. Watch movies that tell the stories of books about animals, plants, space and more!
