Product Review: Smooth Away
Have you ever seen those “As Seen on TV” products and wondered if they actually really work? Well, I got the chance to try out Smooth Away. Its supposed to remove hair instantly and pai free. Basically its kind of like a scrubber pad that you use in a rotating circular motion.
I opened up the package and decided to try it out. Now I had not shaved my legs in 2 weeks because it was nasty wetaher here and I knew I was going to be trying this out. IT WORKED! It does remove hair but it takes along time and shaving is much faster. Here is what I think this product would be good for.
If you have a teenager that is having trouble using a razor or maybe is just starting to learn to shave then this would be perfect for them. Also if you normally shave with a razor but need to do fast and easy touch ups or you get to a party and you noticed you missed a spot , this would work perfect as well. Keep this in your car its great for touch ups! the smaller pad is great for your upper lips and buffs away dead skin.
The box includes:
*1 Travel Case
*1 Large Applicator
*1 Small Applicator
*5 Large flex-crystal replacment pads
*5 small flex-crystal replacment pads
Its available at most stores or you may order it online!
Cool! I’ve been reading up on this product because my daughter has excessive hair growth from her medication and she’s like a fur monster. I use a hair trimmer but that takes forever and doesn’t last long and she can’t sit still enough for it. I was thinking this would be an option so that she could even help doing it.
Does it irritate the skin at all?
I have not had any irritaion since I have ben using it! 🙂

Sounds neat! I’ve been wondering about those. They sound like they’d be great to use on your upper lip.

I have also been wondering if this really works. I think it would be great for the knees and behind the knees. I cant ever seem to get all of the hair off of my knees and behind the knees is so sensitive. I might have to purchase this product now.

I was at a home show yesterday and they were selling the same thing for 25.00…then I went to Hamricks and they sell a lot of things you see on TV and they had it for 9.99.

Thanks for the review. I have been wondering about these for some time. I have a moderate amount of facial hair — the result of being post-menopausal. The area around the hair also tends to be dry and flaky so it is good to know that the Smooth-Away buffs away dead skin.

I have used this and when I used it on my face it gave a lot of itchy patches the next day so I would not use it on the face. I am weary of using it on my arms and it does take an awfully long time.

I bought these at the CVS in Moore last week. I used one of my free gift cards I got for transfering perscriptions. It was $9.99, and to my suprise they really do work. I’m going back to get another one to use for refills while they still have them.

I’m curious because I keep reading mixed reviews – but my curiosity keeps asking – what does the hair look like when it grows back? I’m also pre-pre-menopausal (if that even exists) and I’m noticing fine facial hair that I never had before – curious to know if I used this on my face if the hair would grow back worse LOL….txs
