DIY Mason Jar Bathroom Set
This Mason Jar Bathroom Set keeps my stuff nice and tidy, and it is so sweet looking! This would also be a great DIY for a group if you're looking for an activity for a party, etc. You can make one or several, depending upon what you need the set for.
First, choose your jars. I chose a tall half gallon, 2 quart jars, and 2 six ounce jelly jars. Since these are for handy storage the wide mouth variety works best. Usually you can find the Mason Jars in store, but it's hit and miss on what's available. You can find Quart jars here on Amazon, and Pint jars here.
Layer 2 coats of primer, allowing them to fully dry between coats. Next, I painted the jars with chalk paint. Allowing to fully dry between each coat. It took 3 coats to cover.
Now, take sandpaper and distress it as much or as little as you'd like. I used a sanding block.
Be sure to wipe all the chalk dust off before adding a couple of coats of clear acrylic topcoat in Matte.
If you have the tools and skills, you can drill the hole for the soap pump and assemble or they can be ordered online at sites like Amazon. And put the flower frog in the flower vase as well as the tooth brush holder. Add your favorite flowers, soaps, lotions, cotton balls, and q-tips, and you have a beautiful way to dress up and your much needed organization in any bathroom.
