Homemade Bath Bombs (1 of 1)

This project was an easy choice, I mean who doesn’t enjoy a little pampering? I know I do, and what better way to pamper yourself than a relaxing bath using these full moon lavender bath bombs! These will leave your skin soft while the relaxing scent of lavender melts away the stresses of your day.

Here's what will you need to make Lavender Bath Bombs:

Homemade Bath Bombs mix (1 of 1)
First thing to do is mix the dry ingredients together well. Add the Citric acid, baking soda, and cornstarch. Then you can add the dried lavender flowers if you chose to, and mix well. In a separate bowl melt the coconut oil and add the essential oils. Slowly pour the oil into the dry mixture, stirring it as you go. If you pour it in too fast the citric acid will react, so slow and steady wins the race. I ended up mixing it in with my hands, that way I could feel when there was enough oil. You want it to be the feel of wet sand, so not too wet.

Lastly, press your mixture firmly into the mold of your choice. I used empty plastic Christmas ornaments in two different sizes because I had them on hand, but these molds from Amazon have pretty great reviews so I'm considering purchasing them since these Lavender Bath Bombs are perfect for gift giving! These need to set for 12 hours to dry completely. Then they are ready to take out of the molds, light a few candles,  and pop them into your hot water for a nice relaxing bath. You'll want to store your bath bombs in an air tight container to maintain maximum freshness.

  1. I would really like to try this but I am not a huge lavender fan. What other essential oils or flowers could be used for this purpose?
