Date Night Hairstyles Ideas- Gloriously glossy:

This is a classic hairstyle that suits almost every face type. Glossy hair is all you need whether you are going for a night out or any important event. Keep your hair super sleek, shiny and strands will be super attractive. This hairstyle works for long hair and most hair types.

To get this hairstyle, wash your hair with a radiant shampoo followed by a good conditioner. Blow the dry hair with a smoothing brush, and then make use of straightening iron. You will want to pay close attention to the ends, and flip them in a curl around the brush so that they aren’t hanging straight. You can use a good smoothing balm or blow-dry lotion to add additional smoothness. Part at the top center and spray with a flexible hairspray. If you can’t stand your hair down, this smooth and sleek style also works with a ponytail. Just gather hair at the nape of your neck and add a clip, scrunchie or twist a small section of hair around a ponytail. Remember to loosen the sides around your temples, and you can optionally allow some hair to hang to the sides of your face if you have shorter strands. (We don’t recommend this for full length strands).

The Topknot:

This hairstyle gives you a great look without a lot of time spent on your hair. This look is very useful especially when you’re heading out the door and getting ready fast.. You can head straight to work or out shopping without a lot of time spent on your hair. To make a cute top knot, see this tutorial here and remember these tips:

Messy Hair Bun
  • Hair texture is important with a top knot. Pulling back smoothly brushed hair won’t give a good effect. Add some hair spray or dry shampoo before you add your hair tie.
  • For this hair style, bend your head forward or upside down and gently brush hair toward the crown of your head. Gather hair up and make a high ponytail.
  • The bun should be at the top of your head, not lower. Use a hair elastic to secure hair. A great way to make a top knot is pull hair half way through, and secure the rest around the knot by tucking it into the hair elastic, and securing down with bobby pins.
  • Secure with pins for a soft and loose feel. If you want to last that look for more hours, then apply more hair spray.

Keep in mind, this style is meant to be an easy style. It shouldn’t look too smooth! The bun itself should be defined, but if pieces of hair are left out to frame your face, it will look like more of a romantic hairstyle (rather than just keeping your hair out of the way). The best part about this Topknot style is that it can work for doing chores around the house, to shopping, to going out! It’s great for fall and winter months since many of us wear ballcaps during the summer. And yes, it does work with just about any hair length. Very short hair is probably the exception here.

Date Night Hairstyles Ideas- Casual Waves

Effortless waves seem like you haven’t tried too hard to get that look and it’s very apt for a night out with your partner or fun evening with family. For this hairstyle, you need a little bit of preparation. Prep the hair with a spray and make a high ponytail with any of your stretchy hair elastics or scrunchie. You can bend your head forward to make an extra high up ponytail.

Section it into small sections, about an inch wide. You can section with your index finger or a parting comb. For each section, hairspray and wrap it around a barrel curling iron or straightening iron with a curved edge. Now, gently brush the hair with a fragrance spray which will help to give you a refreshing look.

For bouncy curls, be sure to wrap the hair tightly around the curling iron barrel, and you can even use a small strand of hair here and there as an easy way to get tighter curls. For beachy waves, use larger sections of hair. Allow curls to cool off 5 minutes at least, to fully set. Finally, release your scrunchy and ponytail at the top of your head. Curling your hair while in the ponytail will give a voluminous look like you just came from getting a hair blowout! Spray with hair spray to finish this gorgeous style!

Easy Hair Styles for Anyone – Head Bands and Braids

This is the simplest and yet the most effective way to make your hair. This suits all kinds of hairstyles. Even for curly hair, you can try curly headband wigs, which help to give you that elegant look. For this hairstyle, all you need to do is buy a headband.

Fishtails and Braids:

This hairstyle looks very elegant and pretty, it’s also very easy to create. With wasting hours, you can look good with this hairstyle. To get this hairstyle, comb your hair and make it a ponytail till your neck. Divide the ponytail into two halves and take a small section on the right pony and pull it up over to join the other side of the pony. Repeat the same process till you get the length that you want.

Date Night Hairstyles

If this style doesn’t work for your hair or you need a more mature braid style, try a fishtail or braid starting with a low ponytail. You can leave it down or wrap back up into a braided bun. A great hair trick to braiding or fishtail braiding your own hair is to start with a part low on the side of your head. You can actually braid across the top of your head, and finish with a ponytail, bun, or French braid. You can even go around your head with a braided crown (this may be more difficult to do on your own head– I have been able to do this for others but not myself!)

Be sure to take very small sections of hair, and prep with hairspray and even a quick run through with a straightener. These style tips work with straight hair.

For curly hair, wavy hair, natural hair, and anyone with very thin or fine hair, taking good care of your hair and prepping with the right products ahead of time is important. Braids are a great way to make your style your own. Follow a good hair routine for natural hair if needed. A moisturizing shampoo and conditioner (designed for curly or natural hair) is a great way to start, and then leave in conditioner, hair oils, and finally stylers will help calm and protect.

The Half-Up

Got to rush for the night out or any other informal event? Then a half-up hairstyle is the best option as it hardly takes five to ten minutes to set it up. To get this hairstyle, use hairspray and spray it all over the hair. Now, tie up the top part of your hair and make it into a ponytail and twist it into a loose bun. Pull a few strands down on either side to frame your face, if you have shorter strands. This style works whether you want smooth hair or curly hair. For very curly hair, coiled ringlets and shorter hair, move the hairclip higher up on your head and loosen the sides to frame your face.

For very long hair, avoid pulling the hair on top of your head back too tightly. I did this growing up– haha! A better way is to keep a soft look around your face and add bobby pins or other clips to secure your hair towards the crown of your head. This will avoid an overly pulled-back look.
